Health Coaching: Support for the Journey Back to Health

TU Lee Health Coaching #BackToHealth, #HealthCoaching, #HealthCoachingProgram

There is a particular kind of tiredness that comes from trying. Not the tiredness of the condition itself, whether that is pain, fatigue, stress or something that has never quite been given a name, but the tiredness of the effort to fix it. Another article read at midnight. Another supplement bought. Another food group cut out. Another plan started on a Monday and quietly abandoned by Thursday. Repeat that cycle for a year or two and something begins to wear thin.

Health coaching tends to enter the picture at exactly that point. Not because the person has stopped caring, but because they have finally admitted that caring alone is not carrying them anywhere. They need someone in their corner who can hold the whole picture, filter what matters from what does not, and keep them moving when motivation dips.

The Point Where Trying Alone Stops Working

People who come to health coaching rarely arrive empty handed. They arrive full. Full of half-finished protocols, conflicting advice, screenshots saved from social media, and a nagging sense that everyone else seems to find this easier. Common experiences include:

Reading widely but feeling less certain after every article, not more
Starting with enthusiasm and losing momentum within a fortnight
Being told results are normal, while still feeling far from well
Managing one area well and watching three others slide
Knowing what to do in theory and being unable to do it consistently

None of that reflects a lack of intelligence or discipline. It reflects the fact that changing health habits is a bit like renovating a house while living in it. There is no empty week to start from. There is only the life you already have, with work, family, energy levels and whatever your body is doing that day.

What Health Coaching Actually Is

The health coaching profession is built on supporting clients in a holistic and integrated way to support optimum health and wellness. In the NHS, health and wellbeing coaches are described as non-clinical, personalised care roles. They work with people who have physical or mental health conditions, people with long-term conditions, and those at risk of developing them. Their focus is on improving health related outcomes by working with people to set personalised goals. NHS health and wellbeing coaches complete a Personalised Care Institute accredited four day health coaching training course, and the Personalised Care Institute also offers wider online learning programmes for those delivering coaching.

That gives a useful picture of the shape of the work. A health coach is not a doctor, not a dietitian and not a therapist. The role is to help you take an active part in your own care, set goals that mean something to you, and then actually reach them. The knowledge sits with you as much as with the coach. What the coach brings is structure, perspective and consistency.

How Health Coaching Differs from Being Told What To Do

There is a meaningful difference between advice and coaching, and it is worth being clear about it. NHS health and wellbeing coaches work in a way that is not directive or prescriptive, and they do not give advice. Their job is to draw out your own answers, plan and priorities. That is the discipline of coaching.

In a private practice, the line sits slightly differently. Alongside coaching skills, you might also receive grounded practical suggestions drawn from experience: how to build a meal when you are too tired to cook, what to do with a week of poor sleep, how to reintroduce movement without triggering a flare. The coaching part is what keeps those suggestions useful, because a suggestion only helps if it survives contact with your actual week.

What One Hour Every Two Weeks Looks Like

Health coaching at Tuned Up runs in person or over Zoom, in sessions of around an hour, roughly every two weeks. That rhythm is deliberate. Weekly can feel relentless for someone already stretched thin. Monthly is long enough for good intentions to dissolve and for the thread of the conversation to go cold. A fortnight is enough time to attempt something real and short enough that you are never far from the next checkpoint.

On Zoom, the practical barriers fall away. No travel on a bad day, no cancelling because the pain is up, no waiting room. You can take the call from the sofa with a cup of tea and still do serious work. For anyone living with fatigue or chronic pain, that accessibility matters more than it sounds.

What Happens in a Session

Every session is client led, which means the agenda starts with you. A typical hour tends to move through a few recognisable stages:

An honest review of the fortnight just gone, including what did not happen
Untangling what got in the way and whether the plan was realistic in the first place
Deciding the one or two things that matter most before the next session
Breaking those down until they are small enough to be genuinely doable
Agreeing how you will know it worked, and what you will do if it does not

Between sessions you leave with something concrete, not a vague intention to do better. That is the difference between a good conversation and a plan that changes anything.

Grounded Practical Advice Instead of More Information

Information is not scarce. The problem is that most of it arrives without context. A study about a nutrient says nothing about your budget, your cooking ability, your medication or your energy on a Wednesday evening. A wellness influencer’s morning routine is not a plan for someone who wakes at five with joint pain.

Health coaching filters. It takes the general and makes it specific to you, then tests it. If a change does not fit your life, it gets adjusted rather than abandoned. Over several months, that process builds something far more valuable than a perfect protocol: a working knowledge of what actually helps your body and what reliably does not.

Goal Setting That Survives a Bad Week

Most health plans fail in the same way. They are designed for a good week and then meet a bad one. A flare up, a stressful deadline, a sick child, a bout of insomnia, and the whole structure collapses.

Coaching anticipates this. Goals get built with a fallback version attached, so the minimum standard on a difficult day is still something you can meet. Ten minutes of gentle movement instead of a full session. A simple meal instead of the elaborate recipe. That way the streak does not break, the identity of being someone who follows through survives, and momentum is still there when energy returns.

The Accountability That Changes the Outcome

Accountability has a poor reputation. It sounds like being chased. Done properly, it is closer to being expected somewhere. Someone is going to ask how the fortnight went, and they will ask kindly but they will ask. That single fact changes how a Tuesday afternoon gets spent.

It also creates somewhere to be honest. Most people perform wellness for the people around them. In a coaching session, you can say that you ate cereal for dinner three nights running and nobody will flinch. That honesty is often the first time a real obstacle becomes visible enough to solve.

Where Health Coaching Sits Alongside Other Care

Health coaching works well as a companion to other support, not a replacement for it. It can run alongside GP care, physiotherapy, talking therapies, or the bio-resonance scanning and tuning fork sound therapy offered at Tuned Up. Many people find that practical lifestyle work and gentler supportive therapies complement each other, because the body responds better to change when stress is lower and the nervous system is not braced.

Nothing about coaching diagnoses, treats or cures illness. It is not a substitute for medical assessment, and no promises are made about outcomes. What it does offer is structure, encouragement and a place to think clearly when everything feels tangled.

What Health Coaching Is Not

Setting expectations fairly matters. Health coaching is not a quick fix, and a single session rarely reshapes years of habit. It is not a diet plan handed down from on high, and it is not a lecture about willpower. It is also not therapy. If what surfaces during sessions belongs with a counsellor or a clinician, signposting to the right professional is part of the job.

What it is, at its best, is steady. A regular hour where you are the subject, the plan belongs to you, and someone is keeping track alongside you rather than watching from a distance.

Starting From Where You Actually Are

If you have read this far, there is a good chance you recognise the opening description. That recognition is usually enough. You do not need to have a diagnosis, a clear goal or a tidy routine before starting. You need a willingness to show up every couple of weeks and be honest about how things went, including the weeks when nothing went well at all.

The shift from frustration to progress rarely happens in one dramatic moment. It happens in small, unglamorous steps, each one checked against reality and adjusted before the next. That is the quiet work of health coaching, and it is often the thing that was missing all along.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to see progress with health coaching?

Some people notice changes within a few sessions, often in sleep, energy or how they approach their day. Deeper shifts in habits and lifestyle tend to build over several months of consistent fortnightly work. Progress is rarely a straight line, and it is normal for some weeks to feel like a step backwards. The value comes from reviewing honestly and adjusting rather than starting again.

Do I need a diagnosis before working with a health coach?

No. Health and wellbeing coaches support people with physical or mental health conditions, people with long-term conditions and those at risk of developing them, so a diagnosis is not a requirement. What matters more is knowing what you want to change and being willing to work on it steadily. If something clinical needs attention, a coach should signpost you appropriately.

Is health coaching available through the NHS?

Health and wellbeing coaches do work within NHS personalised care roles, and NHS coaches complete a Personalised Care Institute accredited four day training course. Availability varies by area, so it is best to check with your local GP practice or integrated care service to see what is offered where you live. Many people also choose private health coaching for more flexible scheduling.

What happens if I miss a session or have a bad fortnight?

You turn up and say so. A difficult fortnight is useful information, not a failure. It usually reveals that a goal was too big, the timing was wrong, or something else in your life needed attention first. The session then becomes about adjusting the plan rather than starting from scratch, which is exactly how sustainable change gets built.

Can health coaching help with fatigue, stress or chronic pain?

Coaching cannot treat those conditions, but it can help with the daily habits surrounding them: pacing, sleep routines, nutrition, stress load and realistic movement. Because sessions are client led and adjusted to what you can manage, they tend to suit people whose energy is unpredictable. It works best as one part of wider support, alongside appropriate medical care.

Tuning Fork Therapy

TU Lee Tuning Fork Sound Therapy #AlternativeTherapy, #HolisticHealth, #SoundTherapy, #TuningForkTherapy

Tuning fork therapy is one of those practices that sounds simple and turns out to be surprisingly layered. A small metal fork is struck, it rings, and something in the body responds. The fork itself is nothing more than a two-pronged piece of steel or aluminium, but when it is struck it creates vibration energy, and that energy becomes a sound you can hear and often feel.

That combination of hearing and feeling sits at the heart of the practice. Tuning forks produce precise frequencies and gentle vibrations, and those subtle vibrations can help create moments of inner calm, enhance body awareness, and support a sense of balance and wellbeing. What follows is a plain explanation of how the therapy works, what the forks are doing on and around the body, and what people tend to take away from a session.

A tuned up a practitioner applying sound therapy to a client.

What Is Tuning Fork Therapy?

Tuning fork therapy is a sound-based wellbeing practice. A practitioner strikes a fork, holds it near the body or rests it gently against it, and lets the resulting tone and vibration do the work. It is described as a very gentle yet powerful modality, one that works with the nervous system to support the body and mind and to restore inner balance and health.

It is also known for bringing the body and mind into balance and for supporting the release of negative thoughts or emotions. Sessions tend to be quiet and unhurried. There is no massage pressure involved and no need to do anything in particular, because the work is carried by the sound itself.

Why Vibration Can Be Felt as Well as Heard

Sound is vibration, and a struck tuning fork sends that vibration out into the air around it. When the fork is close to the body, the same vibration can be picked up physically as a light hum or tingle. This is why the practice sits somewhere between listening and bodywork rather than neatly inside either.

For many people the appeal is exactly that double channel. The tone gives the mind something clean and constant to rest on, while the vibration gives the body something to notice. Tuning forks are used for meditation, mindfulness and conscious relaxation, and they offer an accessible way to explore sound, vibration and resonance without requiring any prior experience.

On the Body and Around the Body

One of the more useful distinctions in sound work is between forks used in the energy field around the body and forks that make contact with it. The main categories are straightforward once you know what each one is for.

Plain, unweighted tuning forks are mainly used for sound healing in the energy field around the body, and they are the forks used to create musical intervals.
Weighted tuning forks are a separate category, and they appear in hands-on healing work.
Body tuners are a specific type of fork made for that closer style of work.
Full sets allow a practitioner to move through a sequence of pitches rather than working with a single tone.

In practice, a session may involve both approaches. Forks ring out in the space around you, then a fork is brought nearer so the vibration is felt directly. The shift between the two is often what people remember most clearly afterwards.

Solfeggio Frequencies in Practice

Tuning fork work usually uses named frequency sets rather than random pitches. Solfeggio frequencies are one such set, and they are widely used in sound therapy because each one is a fixed tone rather than a range. Because a tuning fork holds a single pitch, its note is identical every time it is struck, which makes a sequence repeatable from one session to the next.

A practitioner may move through a series of forks, resting each one briefly near or on the body and letting the tone settle before the next one begins. Because the approach is client-led, you can ask to pause, change the pace or skip a frequency at any point. Nothing depends on believing in it first. You listen, and you notice what you feel.

What People Tend to Notice

Since the practice is gentle and the session is quiet, what people describe is usually subtle rather than dramatic. Common themes include:

A sense of inner calm that builds over the session
Sharper body awareness, noticing where tension sits
A feeling of being more balanced and settled
Emotional release, often described as letting go of negative thoughts

Where tuning forks meet the nervous system, the response tends to be one of downshifting. The tone is steady and predictable, and steadiness is often exactly what a busy nervous system is missing. That is part of why the practice appeals to people dealing with stress, fatigue or emotional overload, including those who feel mainstream approaches have only taken them so far.

Why Precision Matters More Than Price

Tuning forks are not all made the same way, and the difference is audible. The College of Sound Healing recommends the BioSonic range, which is made in the USA from space grade aluminium. Their concern with cheaper cast forks is that the metal is poured hot into a mould, producing a poorer quality instrument that does not deliver the pure harmonics a well-made fork does. Machined forks, by contrast, are cut from a single piece of metal.

If you are buying forks for your own practice, it pays to check how they are made rather than shopping on price alone. Specialist suppliers list calibration tuning forks, medical tuning forks, musical tuning forks, sound therapy tuning forks and the accessories that go with them, so it helps to know which category you actually need before you buy.

From Clinic to Sound Session

Tuning forks did not begin in wellness rooms. They have a long clinical history. Medical practitioners use them to assess vibration sense, and the vibration and sound emitted by the fork are used to observe sound conduction through bone, most familiarly in the Weber and Rinne tests. The same physical certainty that makes a fork reliable on a ward is what makes it useful in a sound session: strike it, and the pitch is exactly what it should be.

How Tuning Fork Therapy Fits Alongside Other Support

Tuning fork therapy is a complementary wellbeing practice rather than a medical treatment. It does not diagnose illness or disease, and it is not a replacement for assessment or care from a qualified health professional. If you have a health concern, speak to your GP.

Where the practice earns its place is as part of a wider approach. At Tuned Up, a small appointment-only practice in Herne Bay, tuning fork sound therapy is offered alongside bio-resonance wellness scanning and health coaching. That mix matters, because relaxation and self-awareness gained in a session have somewhere useful to go afterwards. The connection between feeling calmer and then doing something practical with that calm is often where the real value sits.

What a First Session Looks Like

Sessions are unhurried. You stay fully clothed and sit or lie comfortably while the practitioner works with a small number of forks over the course of the appointment. Some are held in the space around you, others are brought into contact with the body. You are welcome to ask questions, say when something feels good, or ask for a change of direction.

Afterwards, most people describe feeling quieter and more settled than when they arrived. There is nothing to prepare beforehand and nothing to practise between sessions, although plenty of people find they notice sound and vibration differently for a while afterwards.

Who Tends to Book Tuning Fork Therapy

Adults seeking complementary support often arrive for overlapping reasons: persistent pain, ongoing tiredness, stress, or a general sense of emotional overload. Others come simply because they are curious about sound and would rather experience it than read about it. The practice suits anyone comfortable with a quiet, gentle approach and happy to be led by their own responses rather than by a fixed protocol.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does tuning fork therapy really work?

Evidence for tuning fork therapy is largely based on reported experience rather than large clinical trials, so it is best understood as a relaxation and self-awareness practice rather than a treatment for specific conditions. People commonly describe feeling calmer, more balanced and more aware of their body after a session. If you are seeking help for a diagnosed condition, keep working with your GP or specialist alongside it.

What does a tuning fork do for your body?

A struck fork produces precise frequencies and gentle vibrations that can be heard and physically felt. Those subtle vibrations can help create moments of inner calm, enhance body awareness, and support a sense of balance and wellbeing. The practice works with the nervous system and is known for supporting the release of negative thoughts or emotions, which is why it is often used alongside meditation and mindfulness.

Can tuning forks stimulate the vagus nerve?

There is no confirmed evidence that tuning forks stimulate the vagus nerve, and reputable practitioners avoid making that claim. What can be said is that a steady, predictable tone gives the body something calm to settle into, and many people experience a general downshifting during a session. Treat any specific nerve-related claims you see online with caution and ask what is actually being offered.

What is the difference between plain and weighted tuning forks?

Plain, unweighted tuning forks are mainly used for sound healing in the energy field around the body, and they are the forks used to create musical intervals. Weighted tuning forks and body tuners are separate categories, appearing in hands-on healing work. Full sets combine different pitches so a practitioner can move through a sequence rather than working with one tone alone.

Do I need experience for tuning fork therapy to help?

No experience is needed. The practice is accessible by design, and sessions are client-led, which means you can pause, ask questions or change the pace at any point. You do not need to believe in anything for the sound and vibration to be felt. Turn up comfortable, stay curious, and let your own responses guide how the session unfolds.

Bio Resonance Scan Near Me

TU Lee Bio Resonance #bioresidence, #BioResidenceScanning

How Remote Sessions Work

If you have typed bio resonance scan near me into a search engine, you are probably assuming that you, the practitioner and the equipment all need to be in the same room. For most appointments that is a fair assumption. For frequency-based wellness work, practitioners say it is not always necessary. Understanding why distance matters less than you might expect can widen your options considerably, especially if the nearest clinic is an hour or more away.

What a Bio Resonance Scan Near Me Search Usually Means

Most people searching locally are not really hunting for a postcode. They are looking for something narrower: a practitioner they can trust, a session that fits around work or family life, and a journey they can manage. Proximity is a shortcut for all three.

It helps to know that bioresonance practitioners are spread thinly across the UK. Clinics offering bioresonance testing and therapy operate in places such as Oxford, Leicester, Belfast and Walsall, and people routinely travel between towns and counties to reach them. If your nearest practitioner is an hour away, you are not doing anything unusual. You are working within a small field.

That is the point at which the remote question stops being philosophical and becomes practical.

The Working Principle Behind Bioresonance

Bioresonance developed in Germany in the 1970s. The idea behind it is that every cell, tissue and organ in the body produces its own electromagnetic signals, and that those signals can be read and, in some approaches, worked with to support the body’s own balancing processes. Practitioners describe it as a gentle, non-invasive technique. A bioresonance test involves no needles, no radiation and no discomfort.

Some systems go further. A full body scan of this kind is often described as having the ability to check, find, analyse and treat dysfunction produced at any time of your life. That is a large claim, and it sits firmly inside the wellness model rather than mainstream medicine.

What matters for this article is simpler. The whole approach rests on frequency and information rather than physical contact. Nothing about the technique requires a hand on your shoulder or a probe pressed against your skin in the way that a massage or a chiropractic adjustment does.

Why Frequency Does Not Stop at a Postcode

One clinic sets out the underlying idea neatly. The Earth itself resonates at a fundamental frequency of 7.83 Hz, known as the Schumann Resonance, a vibration described as essential for all forms of life. In the same way, the thinking goes, your own cells carry individual frequencies that help to keep you balanced.

If you accept that model, even provisionally, the geography question answers itself. A frequency is not a parcel. It does not have to be couriered from one building to another. Practitioners who work remotely are not trying to transmit anything across the miles. They are working with the information the body is already expressing, wherever that body happens to be sitting.

The Quantum Field Explanation, Held Honestly

Practitioners who offer remote sessions often reach for a particular way of describing this. They talk about a field that sits beneath physical matter, sometimes called the quantum field, in which everything is connected and distance is not the limiting factor it appears to be. Within that frame, a session is a meeting of intention and resonance rather than a physical procedure carried out at close range.

The status of that explanation deserves care. It is a model used within complementary wellness, not an established medical mechanism, and you do not have to accept it in full to find a session useful. Many people hold it loosely. They treat the appointment as a structured, reflective check-in on their wellbeing, and they judge it on how they feel afterwards rather than on the physics.

You can do the same. Curiosity and a willingness to engage are more useful than certainty.

What a Remote Bioresonance Session Actually Looks Like

What You Need at Your End

Very little. A quiet room, a reliable phone or internet connection, and enough time not to be rushing. A glass of water nearby is sensible. Some people prefer to sit comfortably with their feet flat on the floor, while others like to lie down. There is nothing physical to prepare, no fasting, no stopping medication and no special clothing.

What Happens at the Practitioner’s End

The practitioner works from their own space using the same equipment they would use for an in-person appointment. They run the session, note what the scan shows within their system, and then talk you through it. The conversation is the important part. A good practitioner explains what they have found, what it might relate to in your day-to-day life, and what they suggest you focus on next.

What Changes and What Stays the Same

What changes is the travel, the waiting room and the practical hassle of getting somewhere. What stays the same is the practitioner, the device, the length of the session and, in most cases, the shape of the conversation. Some practitioners find remote sessions slightly slower paced because body language is harder to read on a screen, although plenty of clients find them more relaxing for exactly that reason.

Where Local Still Matters: Tuned Up in Herne Bay

Tuned Up is a small, sole-trader wellness practice based in Herne Bay, run by Lee and operating on an appointment-only basis. It brings together three strands: bio-resonance wellness scanning, tuning fork sound therapy using solfeggio frequencies, and health coaching.

That mix matters here. Health coaching at Tuned Up is already offered in person or by Zoom, roughly biweekly, which means working at a distance is a normal part of how the practice runs rather than an afterthought. Sound therapy with tuning forks is naturally a hands-on, in-the-room experience. Bio-resonance scanning sits somewhere in the middle, and it is well worth asking directly what can be done remotely and what is better saved for a visit.

If you live in or around Herne Bay, the local option is straightforward. If you are further afield, the useful question is not whether you can get there, but which parts of the work genuinely need you in the room.

Questions to Ask Before You Book a Remote Session

A short conversation before booking will tell you a great deal about whether a practitioner is right for you.

Which device or system do you use, and how long have you been working with it?
Do you hold relevant certifications? Some practitioners list BICOM certification, REGUMED certification, or membership of bodies such as the Complementary Medical Association, and some work with German Rayoscan technology.
What exactly does a remote session include, and how long does it last?
How will you explain your findings, and in how much detail?
What follow-up do you suggest, and is any of it included?
What are the limits of what you can help with?

That last question is the most revealing one. A practitioner who answers it clearly is worth more than one who promises everything.

Keeping Expectations Realistic

Bioresonance is a complementary approach that some people use for wellbeing support. It does not diagnose illness or disease, it is not a substitute for medical care, and if you have symptoms that concern you, your GP is the right first port of call. The same applies whether you attend in person or work remotely.

What remote sessions offer is access. If the nearest practitioner is far away, or if travel is difficult because of pain, fatigue or a busy household, distance stops being the deciding factor. That alone changes the answer to the question you started with.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a bioresonance scan really be done remotely?

Practitioners who work this way say yes, because the technique is based on reading frequency information rather than on physical contact. Nothing in the method requires the device to touch you. You need a quiet space and a phone or internet connection. What you cannot do remotely is the hands-on side of a practice, such as tuning fork sound therapy, so expect a mix if you book both.

How do I choose a practitioner if I am not visiting in person?

Ask about training, equipment and certification before you book. Some practitioners list BICOM certification, REGUMED certification, or membership of bodies such as the Complementary Medical Association, and some work with German Rayoscan technology. Ask how findings are explained, how long a session runs, and what follow-up is included. Someone who answers plainly and admits the limits of what they offer is usually a better bet than someone who promises everything.

Does bioresonance work through the quantum field?

That is how many practitioners describe it, but treat it as a model rather than settled science. The idea is that everything is connected at a level beneath physical matter, so distance stops being a barrier. Mainstream medicine does not use bioresonance to diagnose or treat illness. You can engage with a session as a wellbeing check-in, judging it on how you feel, without resolving the physics.

Is bioresonance a replacement for medical care?

No. Bioresonance is a complementary approach that some people use for wellbeing support. It does not diagnose illness or disease, and it should not delay you seeking proper medical advice. If you have symptoms that worry you, speak to your GP first. You can still use bioresonance alongside conventional care, and many people do, but it sits beside medical treatment rather than replacing it.

The Benefits of a Health Coaching Program

TU Lee Health Coaching

Most people who decide something needs to change already have a good idea of what to do. They know sleep matters, that movement helps, that stress sits in the body. What they often lack is a way to turn that knowledge into something that survives an ordinary, busy week. A health coaching program exists for that exact gap.

What a Health Coaching Program Actually Is

Health coaching is a client-led process built on behaviour change theory, delivered by health professionals from a range of backgrounds. That description comes from NHS Health Education England, and it points to something important: coaching is not advice-giving in disguise.

The Benefits of a Health Coaching Program

The RSPH describes health coaching as a supported self-management intervention, focused on helping people make more informed and conscious choices about their own health rather than handing them a set of rules to follow. NHS England uses similar language, noting that health and wellbeing coaches support people to increase their ability to self-manage, their motivation levels and their commitment to changing their lifestyle.

Read those three items together and you have a fair summary of what a good program is trying to build: capability, drive and follow-through.

Why Knowing What to Do Is Rarely Enough

By the time most adults decide something has to change, they are already carrying a great deal of information. What is usually missing is not more facts but a structure. Information does not tell you which single change to make first, how to keep going when your energy dips, or what to do when a plan that looked reasonable on a Sunday falls apart by Wednesday.

That gap between knowing and doing is where habits, confidence, circumstances and past experience all collide. Coaching works in that space. It does not assume you have been lazy or uninformed. It assumes the plan was never built around your actual life, and it helps you rebuild it piece by piece.

The Benefits of a Health Coaching Program

The advantages tend to show up gradually rather than all at once. Below are the ones clients most often notice as a program develops.

You Build Self-Management Skills That Stay With You

Coaching is designed to increase your ability to self-manage, which means the skills you develop belong to you rather than to a program you must keep paying for. Over time you become better at noticing what is working, adjusting when something is not, and making conscious choices instead of drifting along on autopilot. That is the difference between a short burst of effort and a way of living that holds up.

Motivation Becomes More Reliable

Motivation is often treated as a mood that either arrives or does not. In coaching it is treated as something you can build and maintain, partly through clarity about why a goal matters and partly through regular contact that keeps it on your radar. NHS England highlights motivation levels and commitment to lifestyle change as core outcomes of coaching work, which reflects how central they are to lasting results.

Goals Become Realistic and Specific

Goals set in isolation tend to be either too vague to act on or too ambitious to survive contact with real life. A coach helps you break a broad intention into steps that fit your week, your budget, your family and your energy levels. Small, specific goals are easier to start, easier to review honestly, and they give you actual evidence of progress rather than a vague sense that you should be doing better.

Nutrition and Habits Turn Into Practical Actions

Advice about food and lifestyle is everywhere, and much of it contradicts itself. Coaching sidesteps the noise by starting with what you already eat and how your days already run. From there you might work on one meal, one shopping habit or one evening routine at a time. Because the changes are yours, they tend to fit your kitchen, your working hours and your preferences rather than an idealised version of your life.

Accountability Without Judgement

Being answerable to someone is powerful, provided that someone is not waiting to tell you off. Health coaching sessions create a regular checkpoint where you report back honestly, look at what got in the way, and decide what to adjust. There is no scorecard and no shame in a difficult fortnight. The point is simply to keep the thread going, because progress rarely follows a straight line.

You Get a Space That Is Entirely Yours

Most conversations about health happen in passing, squeezed between other things. Coaching is different. It sets aside time for you to think out loud about what you want, what you have tried before, and what has previously got in the way. Being heard properly is often the part clients underestimate at the start and value most by the end.

Coaching Can Sit Alongside Other Holistic Support

Where a practice offers more than one modality, coaching can complement the rest. A wellness scan might prompt questions about how your body feels day to day, sound therapy might help you slow down and notice tension, and coaching gives you somewhere to take those observations and turn them into changes you can act on. The three feed each other rather than competing.

What a Health Coaching Program Looks Like at Tuned Up

Tuned Up is a small, appointment-only wellness practice near Canterbury run by Lee, working across three integrated modalities. The health coaching Program here covers goal setting, nutrition, habit building, lifestyle change and accountability, and sessions can take place in person or over Zoom, roughly every two weeks.
Because sessions are client-led, the agenda is set by what matters to you. One person might arrive wanting to reduce evening snacking. Another might want help pacing their days around fatigue. The structure is the same; the content is not.

What Happens in a Coaching Session

You talk through where things stand now, including what has gone well since you last met.
You look at what got in the way, without turning it into a character judgement.
You choose one or two priorities to focus on next, rather than trying to fix everything at once.
You agree practical next steps that fit the fortnight ahead.
You book the next session so the accountability keeps ticking over.

The rhythm is deliberately unhurried. Roughly biweekly contact gives you enough time to test something in real life and enough frequency to catch problems before they become reasons to give up.

How to Get the Most From a Health Coaching Program

Turn up honestly, including about the weeks that did not go to plan.
Pick fewer goals and do them properly rather than attempting a full overhaul.
Write down what you agreed, because memory is generous with good intentions.
Expect to adjust. A plan that does not survive a difficult week needs tweaking, not abandoning.
Flag anything medical with your GP, and keep coaching focused on lifestyle and behaviour.

Checking Credentials Before You Start

Health coaching is not a protected title in the way that some clinical roles are, so it pays to look at training and registration. There are established qualifications in the field, including the RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Health Coaching, and some courses carry accreditation from the Personalised Care Institute.

Where Coaching Sits Alongside Medical Care

Coaching supports lifestyle and behaviour change. It does not diagnose, treat or cure illness, and it is not a substitute for medical advice. At Tuned Up, bio-resonance work is described clearly as a wellness approach rather than a diagnostic tool, and no promises are made about outcomes. If you are living with a health condition, the sensible path is to keep your GP or specialist involved and use coaching as additional support alongside that care.

What coaching can offer is a steady, structured place to work on the things that are genuinely within your control: what you eat, how you rest, how you respond to stress, and how you keep going when motivation dips.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a health coaching program?

It is a structured series of conversations, usually held regularly over several weeks or months, in which a coach supports you to make informed and conscious choices about your health. Rather than prescribing a fixed plan, a coach helps you set goals, build habits, work through obstacles and stay accountable to changes you have chosen for yourself.

How is health coaching different from being told what to eat?

Advice gives you an answer, while coaching builds your ability to find and keep your own. Sessions are client-led, so the priorities come from you. A coach may share knowledge and help you plan practical steps, but the aim is to increase your self-management and commitment rather than create dependence on someone else’s rules.

How often do sessions take place?

At Tuned Up, health coaching runs roughly every two weeks, in person at the Herne Bay practice or over Zoom. That spacing gives you time to put something into practice between sessions while keeping momentum. If you are unsure what fits your situation, ask when you enquire about booking.

Do I need a diagnosed condition to benefit from coaching?

No. Coaching suits anyone who wants to change something about their lifestyle and would value structure and support. That might be energy levels, eating habits, stress or general wellbeing. It also works well alongside other support you may already be receiving, whether that is medical care or complementary therapies such as sound therapy.

Can coaching replace medical treatment?

No, and it should never be presented that way. Health coaching focuses on behaviour, habits and lifestyle, and it does not diagnose or treat illness. If you have symptoms or a diagnosed condition, speak to your GP or specialist first, and treat coaching as an additional layer of support rather than an alternative to clinical care.

What Is Bio Resonance?

TU Lee Bio Resonance

Bio resonance sits in a quiet corner of complementary health, somewhere between energy medicine and modern wellness technology. It is built on a single, simple idea: that every cell in the body emits electromagnetic frequencies, and that a device can pick up those frequencies, read them, and use them to build a picture of how the body is behaving energetically.

People usually arrive at bio resonance for a reason. Persistent tiredness, stubborn digestive trouble, aches that never quite resolved, or a feeling that something is slightly off but nothing has shown up in routine tests. A bio resonance scan is not a medical test, and it does not replace one, but for many people it offers a different angle on their health and a fresh starting point for change.

The bio resonance quantum field

What Is Bio Resonance?

Bio resonance, often written as bio resonance, is a complementary wellness practice based on the idea that every cell in the body emits electromagnetic frequencies. A bio resonance machine is used to measure the frequency of energy wavelengths coming from the body, and those measurements are then interpreted to understand what is happening at an energetic level.

Practitioners of the approach describe it as a form of oscillation medicine, founded on the theory of quantum physics that all matter is in motion, oscillating and vibrating. In practical terms, a scan is a way of gathering information about the body as a system of frequencies rather than as a set of separate parts.

Some descriptions of bio resonance go much further and claim the readings can be used to diagnose disease. That claim is contested, and it is important to be honest about it. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center describes bioresonance therapy as an unproved device used to diagnose and treat cancer, allergies, arthritis, and chronic degenerative diseases. In the UK, the Advertising Standards Authority publishes advice on bioresonance therapy, which shapes how practices are allowed to describe what they do. That is why careful practitioners present bio resonance as a wellness assessment tool rather than a diagnostic service, and why they avoid promising outcomes they cannot guarantee.

The Theory Behind Bio Resonance

The underlying idea is straightforward. If all matter oscillates, then cells, tissues and organs each have their own vibrational signature. Where health is good, those signatures are described as coherent and balanced. Where there is stress, inflammation, or an ongoing burden on the body, the signatures are said to look different, and that difference is what the device is claimed to detect.

There is published research exploring bio resonance as a therapy rather than a wellness scan. One 2022 paper by D Muresan describes bio resonance therapy as a method of energy treatment that processes the electromagnetic information of the human body using a sensitive Mora Nova device, and examines its use in mild and moderate depression. It is a small contribution to a much wider debate, and it does not settle the question of how well the approach works. What it does show is that researchers are still asking the question.

What Happens During a Bio Resonance Scan?

A bio resonance appointment is not an invasive experience. There are no needles, no fasting, no radiation and nothing to swallow. Clients typically sit comfortably while the device takes its readings, whether through hand-held contacts, sensors or a cable connected to the body. The session is usually calm and unhurried, and the results are discussed afterwards as a set of energetic patterns and tendencies rather than a medical verdict.

In-Person Appointments

Many people prefer to attend in person, particularly for a first scan. Being in the room allows the practitioner to talk through each finding as it appears, answer questions on the spot, and connect the readings to what the client is actually experiencing day to day. It also makes it easier to combine the scan with other elements of a session, such as relaxation work or a tuning fork sound treatment, and to agree on practical next steps before leaving.

Remote Scanning Through the Quantum Field

Some practices now offer a remote bio resonance scan, which is carried out without the client being physically present. The explanation given is that the body’s energetic information is not limited to the room it occupies, and that a remote scan can be performed through the quantum field using what practitioners describe as state of the art Tesla technology. For anyone with limited mobility, a long commute, or a schedule that makes travelling to an appointment difficult, that opens up access that would otherwise be out of reach.

Remote sessions suit people who are already comfortable with energy-based approaches and who want convenience without losing the conversation. A phone or video call usually accompanies the scan so the findings can be explained and discussed in full, and follow-up questions can be raised later by email or in a subsequent session.

What a Bio Resonance Scan Might Look At

Practices vary in how they frame a scan, but the areas commonly reported include the following:

Whole-body energy patterns and where the body appears to be under strain
Food intolerances and sensitivities, which many clients are keen to explore
Heavy metals and other environmental burdens
Chemicals and everyday exposures
Microorganisms, including bacterial, viral and fungal patterns
Organ and system level tendencies that may be worth supporting

These categories are how practitioners describe the scan, not diagnoses confirmed by laboratory medicine. Treat the list as a set of prompts for conversation and lifestyle review, not as a set of confirmed conditions.

Benefits of Having a Bio Resonance Scan

A Different Perspective on Ongoing Symptoms

For people who have been told their blood tests are normal while still feeling unwell, a scan can feel like a genuinely different conversation. Instead of dismissing the symptoms, it offers a framework for talking about them and a structure for looking at diet, environment, stress and daily habits together rather than in isolation.

Practical Starting Points for Change

A scan is only useful if it leads somewhere. The most valuable part of the appointment is often the discussion that follows, where findings are translated into a handful of realistic adjustments: foods to try removing for a few weeks, areas of the diet to strengthen, sleep and stress habits to revisit, and simple tracking to see whether anything shifts. That is where a scan becomes a planning tool rather than a curiosity.

A Calm, Non-Invasive Experience

There is nothing demanding about the process itself. No needles, no discomfort, no recovery time. Many clients describe the session as relaxing, and for anyone who finds clinical environments stressful, that softer setting makes it easier to speak openly about what has been going on.

Convenience Through Remote Sessions

Remote scanning removes the practical barriers that stop people attending appointments, particularly those managing fatigue, chronic pain or a busy caring role. Being able to have the scan and the follow-up conversation from home means the support is more likely to actually happen rather than being postponed indefinitely.

Something to Build On

A scan works best as the first step rather than the whole journey. Combining it with sound therapy, coaching or structured habit work gives the findings somewhere to go. Follow-on frequency-based treatments described as meta therapy and Rife are also offered by some practices, and clients often pair a scan with coaching sessions held in person or by video call to keep momentum going over several weeks.

What Bio Resonance Cannot Do

Honesty matters here more than enthusiasm. Bio resonance is not a diagnostic tool, it does not identify or treat illness or disease, and it is not a substitute for medical care. If you have symptoms that concern you, unexplained weight loss, persistent pain, bleeding, a lump, or anything that is getting worse rather than better, arrange to see your GP.

The evidence base is limited and contested, which is why any practitioner making confident claims about curing conditions is going beyond what the research supports. A responsible scan is offered as a wellness assessment, with clear boundaries, no promises, and no pressure to stop any treatment your doctor has recommended.

Getting the Most From a Session

Arrive with a clear sense of what you want to understand. Write down your main symptoms, how long they have been going on, what you have already tried, and any patterns you have noticed around food, sleep, stress or energy levels. Bring your questions, including the sceptical ones. Afterwards, give the recommendations enough time to show whether they help, usually a few weeks rather than a few days, and keep notes so you can compare one scan with the next.

Above all, treat the results as information to weigh up rather than instructions to follow blindly. A good practitioner will welcome that approach and will be comfortable saying that some findings are uncertain, and that only time and observation will tell.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is bio resonance scientifically proven?

No, it is not established by mainstream science. Reviews and cancer information services describe bioresonance devices as unproved, and the published research is limited. Some small studies have explored its use as a therapy, including work on mild and moderate depression, but the evidence is not strong enough to call the approach proven. Approach it as a complementary wellness tool, not a validated medical test.

Can a bio resonance scan diagnose an illness?

No. A scan does not diagnose disease and should never be used in place of proper medical assessment. UK advertising guidance restricts how practices may describe bioresonance therapy, which is why reputable practitioners frame it as a wellness assessment. If you have symptoms that worry you, see your GP and let them investigate properly before drawing conclusions from any complementary scan.

Is a remote scan as useful as an in-person appointment?

Practitioners who offer remote scanning say the readings are equivalent, describing the process as working through the quantum field using Tesla technology rather than depending on physical proximity. What differs is the experience. An in-person visit gives you the room, the conversation and the option to combine the scan with hands-on treatments. Remote sessions mainly offer convenience.

How should I prepare for a bio resonance appointment?

Keep it simple. Write down your main symptoms and how long you have had them, note anything you have already tried, and think about what you most want to understand. Bring a list of questions, including the awkward ones. There is no special preparation needed, and no need to change medication or treatment on the basis of a scan.

What should I do with the results afterwards?

Use them as a starting point for observation and small changes. Test one or two suggestions at a time, give them a few weeks, and note what shifts. Share anything significant with your GP if it relates to a diagnosed condition. A scan is most valuable when it feeds into coaching, sound therapy or structured habit work rather than sitting in a drawer as a set of unexplained figures.
